Auction withdrawn by ebay

I have just had an auction withdrawn by ebay for nicorette stating as it was a prescription drug i cannot sell it on ebay?
Slightly confused as the link they sent me of ebay rules they go on about contact lenses prescription drugs etc. But surely its not a prescription drug as you can buy it over the counter. (Tbh it never even crossed my mind i couldnt sell it)
Before i advertised it i did search for simlar on ebay and there was loads of other auctions for the same.
Can anyone shed any light?

It will be another seller who has reported you and got your advert kicked off.

Someone selling the same thing as you has whined to ebay, and ebay have nuked your listing.

Have that happen a few times and your account will be nuked.

Sorry Dave - why would they whine if they are selling the same thing as me - because they have been 'lucky' enough not to get caught.
I am so confused now, it was a genuine misunderstanding have no intention of doing it again but I just wanted to know becos it never even crossed my mind its 'prescription'

Because they are trying to get rid of the competition.

The fewer auctions there are for a specific thing, the more likely theirs will get bid up/bids.

I would never be so petty and report you... I've had this happen to me a few times.. It very common for other sellers to do this on ebay and its all about them removing the competition to get more monies for their own items.

    Hi Syanide
Thanks for accepting this was a genuine mistake of your comment by me
I really read as you had reported me after i made you all aware of what i had done on here - the t missing made the comment sound completely the wrong way :o . My main frustration was i didnt know what 'crime' i had supposedly commited as i didnt think nicorette was a prescriptive drug.
I know see that its just people getting their listings more notice. Never experienced this before
Anyway i appealed the suspension with ebay so hopefully they will reinstate the auction.
    Regards
