    I have a freeview box in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom is the £32 one from asda and is the best of the two although the other cost £20 more.

    @Hansi and all.
    An indoor aerial will not work for everybody. If you live close to the transmitter then there is a good chance that it will work. The other extreme is a high gain antenna with a masthead amplifier for those in weak signal areas.
    These digital signals are broadcast at low power. High quality cables are required to preserve the signal intensity and screen it from local interference.

  • It is all very well freeview and sky but unless you spend a lot more money you cannot watch one programme and tape another as you can do with analogue.

    if freesat takes off do I give up upgrading my tv aerial, because its been mooted that sky might give away their stuff to grab market share or is this a non runner?
    Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...

    I doubt it cos it would be so unprofitable. If you bought a second hand sky box from ebay though and had a local man install the dish it might be quite cheap.
