Closed my 50+ savings account, which took about a week because they said they had IT problems!!! and that they couldn't work out my interest up to that date but would post a cheque to me once the IT problem was solved. this was over two weeks ago and no cheque! I had quite alot in there so the interest should be quite alot, but i don't know how you would work it out, I also phoned the Abbey last week but was told the person dealing with this was off sick, what should i do now, any help appreciated, as getting abit stressed now. Thanks

Sorry, can't help with your problem but they are by far the most incompetent shower that ever [STRIKE]ran[/STRIKE] tried to run a financial institution IME.0 -
A few years ago it took Abbey nearly 3 weeks to move £200K to my ing account, they have not got a clue kept giving me wrong information.

Just keep on badgering them! I requested transfers of three cash ISAS into their Direct ISA over two weeks ago and it still hasn't happened, and this is just switching between internal accounts. They state it will take approx 6 days but they are allowed up to 30. I bet it's got lost in the system. :mad:0
