usb wireless adapter work on usb 1.0 ?

when my friends plugs his wireless adapter in is usb 1.0 port, (doesn't have any usb 2 ports), it just says this device can perform faster if plugged into usb 2 .........
it doesn't ask for any drivers or show up in the device manager, is it the case that it wont work on his usb 1.0 port ?

should work, just not at usb2 speed.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

It will work, but the speed will be limited to 11 MBPS rather than 54 MBPS0
