utility bills

utility bills

Hi can anyone give an idea as to what generally would be the cost of all utility bills i.e.water,gas and electricity monthly for a couple in 1 bedroom house (kitchen, bath and small lounge) with normal usage in Watford?

I doubt you will get many acurate replies because its such a difficult thing to comment on unless people are in the exact situation (i.e. a couple in 1 bedroom house (kitchen, bath and small lounge) with normal usage in Watford) you are in and even then it differs from person to person.

I am the same, just moved into a flat and need to know how much to budget for bills but decided just to massively over estimate and then will have spare in 6 months to save or treat myeslf!

  • It is difficult to estimate anothers bills. It is a good idea to have a water meter. Always pay gas and electricity bills by direct debit to get the lower prices, also if you can use on line submissions of meter readings. At the end of the day don't waste energy. Switch lights and appliances off, and have the thermostat for the heating at a reasonable level. Do budget perhaps generously for utility costs but as already advised review the costs in the light of actual bills incurred. Don't forget the telephone even 18866 at 3p connection charge is still a good bet. Happy saving.
