moving "favourites" to firefox

hi
i currently use internet explorer but i am fed up with it so i want to move everything in "favourites" to mozilla firefox.
how do i go about this?

i can remember some time ago when i installed firefox , it did ask me to say if i wanted all the bookmarks to be transferred across from ie to firefox but i declined.

now when i use mozilla it does not ask me that question no more.

thanks for any help

Probably easiest to remove Firefox then re-install - you can navigate to exploerer favo(u)rites as web pages, but not worth the hassle (IMHO)

not to sure really...I have been using Firefox for years but never come across this your favourites in IE are called bookmarks in Firefox...and as far as I am aware you get the option on the first install but never seen it again have been looking into the settings of Firefox and can't see anything...you could uninstall it then re-install it and import your favourites then...or have alook at
    firefox
    bookmarks
    organise bookmarks
and see if there is anything there...
    sorry I couldn't be more helpful...Ice:)

    Definitely no need to reinstall!

Firstly, if you imported them from IE, when you first installed Firefox, they'll be in Bookmarks > From Internet Explorer folder.

If you have a long list, choose Bookmarks > Organise Bookmarks to bring up a new window for the Bookmarks Manager so you can move, sort and search.

If you want to re-import, open the Bookmarks Manager (again from Bookmarks > Organise Bookmarks), then use the File > Import command.
