If your unemployed you can get a NEW DEAL railcard. This gets 50% off most tickets and season tickets up to a max of 3 months. Basicly you travel for child rate.
Talk to your jobcentre advisor to get one, ignore the rubbish about not being entitled to one and demand to see the book with the rules in writing (they never have this to hand) and youll get the card.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.
