NTL- treating customers differently

Hello everyone,
I have just found Edinburghlass very helpful post listing all the NTL success stories. The link is http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com...ad.html?t=79351.
I managed to whittle down my NTL bill (see Ntl make that call). Yesterday, i was telling my friend about this site and on how it enabled me to 'Make the call' to NTL.
She proceeded to tell me that she too is an NTL customer and is unhappy with her bills! Originally, she signed to NTL for 24/7 phone and broadband. She decided after 6 months that she was going to get rid of her computer and so would no longer require Broadband.
She informed NTL of this and they informed her that she either pay the remaining months on her broadband or migrate to a T.V package. The package offered was not the basic package but had the majority of the channels.
She is currently paying around £50 per month (i think for just the telly). She never wanted a Full T.v package and would be quite happy with basic sky pack and 24/7 phone.
Plus, after she changed her package NTL 'mistakingly' subtracted £40 or £50 from her account which she has still not received!!!!
I have told her to 'make the call' but, like me she doesnt feel competant enough. Can anyone tell me the best deals they have got on this type of package and any freebies NTL added (i.e Call barring).
Thank you MSE users.....you kind hearted bunch!! :A

if shes still in her initial 12 months, then she really doesnt have any bargaining power0

no, she is coming to the end of her contract. What i really need to know is what other customers have received on the 24-7 phone tariff and T.V deal!
Anybody!! can you enlighten me!! :-)0 -
Customer enquires at NTL are diabolical. Another name for the company is NT Hell! and I am taliking from personal experiece. If your friend thinks she's got a case, contacy offcom, the address & tel no should be on the back of your phone bill. Let them flutter some feathers. Good luck0
