    Thursday 15th May 2008

    * set up budgeting spreadsheet. Need to include I&E so that we stay within budget but it's started

    * call from Argos and beds will be delivered next Tuesday afternoon. Dunno where the heck we're gonna store them, but at least they'll be here

    * CC cheques into current account to cover BR fees for both of us, which takes the strain off as we're still frantically saving to get the rest of the lettings deposit :j

    * my boss had a phone call from the Letting Agents so that is going nicely

    * H and I going through our I&E for the SOA tomorrow

So still tootling along - every little penny made from ebay sales is going into the savings, and it's quite cheering seeing it building up. H came up with an excellent suggestion for selling some china he got for his first wedding which is never used, so we're cooking on gas :T

Hey Merry, please try & get to meet in August (you & OH) !!

Guess what...I lost my bag last week so stopped my cards in case of theft!!! (god knows why...most have not credit left!!) None have sent replacements yet so can`t use mine anyway!! not that I would as have decided that I have reached `the wall`& can`t pay. I am writing to all as we speak. Very scary!! suddenly will have `shot` credit rating!!

    Ax

Right, this is what I have put onto the statement of affairs. Any comments/amendments appreciated :j

    Income

    Salary : 765 (mine)
    Salary : 2371 (ribbit)
    Child benefit : 175
Child maintenance : 300 (from my ex)

    Total : 3,611

    - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - -
    Expenditure

    Rent : 1,200
Food : 500 (this is for family of 6)
    Gas/electric : 89
    Water : 40
    Telephone (incl mobiles) : 80
Travel : 405 (this includes bus fare for two girls to and from school, H's visits to his DD, parking for me outside work)
    Clothing : 75
    Maintenance : 450 (CSA)
    Council tax : 94
Other essential : 162 (this includes education fees, car tax, insurance, repairs, etc)

    Total : 3,095

    * This doesn't include tobacco, sky, hobbies, repairs, etc.
    * Do they include my child benefit as part of my income? I have done so far....
    * It's difficult to estimate utilities as we are moving into rented and have no idea how much it's going to cost to heat it over the winter.
*Phones include mobile phones for four of us (2 DDs have PAYG, and H & I are swapping to PAYG shortly)

Any help and/or suggestions appreciated
