    Where the *bleep* do I find my VAT Registration number!?! :confused: I only registered for tax last year, and had a HUGE tax bill (which meant I had to sell my car cos I was using the little money from the business for household expenses), and I can find NO paperwork that says a VAT Reg number that the form will recognise...

    ....grumble, moan, whinge :mad:

    Merry, I have to say that you are one astonishing lady. I've just sat and read through your thread from start to finish - - what an incredibly brave decision you've made - but at this point the best one you COULD have made - as it's 100x better dealing with stuff like this than trying to ignore it and hope it will go away.

    Now I have to admit that although we've had some pretty tough money troubles in the past, we've never (thankfully) been at the stage you're at, so I'm not going to spout platitudes like "I know how you're feeling" - I don't, although I can begin to imagine the hopelessly lost feeling and the solid rock in the pit of the stomach from where we were at a few years ago. One thing I will say - there is a lot of truth in the phrase "Whatever doesn't break you makes you stronger" - and I can tell you for definite that if you and your OH come through this one, you'll have a stronger relationship - more open and honest - as a result of it.

    I look forward to reading your continuing journey. Good luck.

    Hee hee, thanks Angie :rotfl::rotfl:

    I'm going to make myself a HUGE mug of green tea and close down the forms - staring at them is turning me boss-eyed and not helping me in the slightest :p

    Thank you so much :beer: I think every day the closer I examine things I can see that this is most definitely the right decision, and H and I are definitely communicating so much better. I always say 'God never gives you more than you can handle, it just sometimes feels like he overestimates me' :eek::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thursday 8th May

    * H has two estate agents coming round on Saturday to give us a decent valuation on the house

    * SOA is nearly complete - just got to do a comparison to make sure we are saying the same thing for expenditure (apart from our individual bits of course) and get the valuation of house

    * had one phone call about the car, so fingers crossed it might sell before the dreaded tax on it is due :eek: It's for sale for £1,195 although Parkers says £1,300 but it has got higher than average mileage

    * I'm away this weekend - it was booked a couple of months ago and is all paid - just a weekend where Merry gets to switch off from everything!! I have the latest Jordan book to read, some dvds to see, and I will probably have a long bath and a decent sleep!

    * Bunkbeds are due back in Argos on Monday, so will do the order asap from then which is another thing off the list

    * H sent off the forms to the letting agents, so the references should be requested soon. The deposit is coming together nicely - still nowhere on the fees for BR tho :(

    I think that's an accurate update - better catch up with you guys now! :A
