Magazine subscriptions for £1

Got my Cosmo Elemis gift (ACtive SKin Complex) today. Checked on the Elemis web-site and its worth £56!!! Not bad for a freebie.

edit: postman just bought the fructis set! going to give them a call and see if I can still wangle the adidas set.

Received this also this morning, I was expecting the Adidas/Rimmel stuff, bit disappointing, looks like they have substituted it with this.

I also got the Fructis set instead. Its quiet a nice freebie but tbh, I wouldnt have taken the subscription if I knew I was getting the Fructis set. I did call them and they said they would try and order me an Adidas set if I had got the wrong gift and in any case I could keep the Fructis set!
You might as well call them and see what happens.

Just phoned them now and obviously didn't get someone quite so sympathetic. Simply said that all gifts were subject to availability (which should have been advised when I ordered) and that if they run out of stock, they will substitute with a different gift.
If I remember rightly, the Garnier gift was from an earlier Company offer and I held off to wait for something better. Better luck next time :-(

Im still waiting on the zest and company gifts i ordered on the 3rd july did you all order before that?

I ordered my Company sub on July 2nd

I e-mailed re: zest subs and was told on 10.08.05 that i'd have to wait another 28 days although I'd subsribed to mag on 02.07.05, for my free gift and it was on order.

Not had anything from Company, which I subscribed to on 14.07.05, will e-mail them later.

Have cancelled all magazine subscriptions now though as 2nd issue due of all of them & I don't want them longer than the 3 months. They are alright as bargains but not my cuppa really.

If everyone did this, the companies would not offer these gifts again, and people who do want to subscribe will miss out.

Not really fair is it?
