Decking has cracks in it????

I have just had decking installed by a local tradesman. The decking is pre-treated and I have not painted/treated it yet. It has only been down for a couple of weeks and there appears to be cracks starting to form in some of the boards. Can someone explain why this is happening? Is this normal? Is this because I have not treated the wood? Help please.

Dont panic! It's fine. ALL wood will move, settle and crack a little. It does depend on exactly which wood has been used, but I can almost guarantee - 99% certain of it, you have nothing to worry about. Even quite big cracks will appear in some boards but they should be fine to walk on as normal.
You will find some cracks will open the close back up again, some will get smaller, some may end up quite big and it will vary depending on the weather.
Leave it a couple of months, then if it is REALLY bad ask the contractor to come back and give you his opinion, but be nice to him.
