Hi Nicki_Sue - have you checked the amount you should get back from Quidco as its for 40% of the listing fees paid by the buyer not 40% of the price you paid for it (sorry hun)
This is what it says on Quidco - for winning a eBay auction. This amount is based on eBay revenue - not on the price you pay.
Nothing for me yet today - I've just been to 3 carboot sales (as a buyer) and now I need to go back to bed!
Oooh! Sorry if I've misled anyone! I obviously misread something! thanks for setting me straight!MSE-ing since 20070 -
Should stand to get around £50-60 hopefully from my ebay auctions ending tonight. Plus have another MS set up for £7 but will not count those til I either do them, or they pay out.
BOOT SALE HELP?! I've never done a boot sale or been to one, but there is one near me next weekend. Any advice? It's £8 for a car, £5 for a table (£1 entrance) at a local primary school. Silly question, but I have to provide my own table right (could be a problem, dont really have anything suitable)? Or do you literally sell out the boot of your car?
(sounds awkward?). There's no contact info on the flyer that camee through my door, so I can't ask - and do I just turn up, as there's no details to book?
I wasnt booked for the one I went to in Alvechurch this morning, you just turn up. I didnt literally sell from the boot of my car but used a pasting table (cost me £10 from local hardware shop - used money from April challenge). From what you say it is £8 for you to sell your stuff (carboot style) with your own pasting table and £5 if you are just having a table inside and if you want to go and look then you have to pay £1 to get in. One thing to remember is that folks will try and dive in your boot when you arrive - thankfully none of them tried this with me today although I did have to ask one chap if he would help me with my table because the catch was too stiff. Take sandwiches and hot drink with you - you'll need it. Also take some change - today I took a float of £14 made up of 50ps and £1 coins. Have an idea of what you want to sell the items for - I even removed some stuff from sale because people were being silly, I was selling a Villeroy & Boch glass sweetdish (boxed) cost £130 was prepared to sell it for £80 and some silly nit offered me 20p for it:mad:
It helps if you take a friend with you - because they can help you sell and mind the stall whilst you go and have a mooch.
HTH and good luck.

I'm having quite a slow start this month. I did a car boot sale this morning but only made £30. I'm going to do another one tomorrow to try and get rid of the rest of the stuff before I Freecycle it.

Im gonna try and stick whatever I can on Ebay today...the only problem is though...you have to post it all before you get the money....that can be hard sometimes, especially if youve ogt hardly any money!!!
If you get paid through paypal you can pay for the postage through Paypal (and print out the postage labels) - this makes life much easier than queuing up at the post office. It also means that you don't have to find the cash up front for the post and can be sure that whats left after that is all profit.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Blimus - £30 is £30 at the end of the day - that is 3 days worth of challenge money in one go!!
Not bad - and £30 more than I have made today!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
i think £20 a day is too ambitious (sp) for me, however i will attempt it! listed 28 items on ebay and i think im about to lose my mind now. think i'll leave slice the pie for a wee while.0

BlimusOReilly - £30 at the carboot today wasnt bad considering that most places were wet today. It's £30 more than you had yesterday.:D
I don't know if you live in Worcestershire or South Birmingham but if you do, there is a carboot on nearly every Sunday (weather permitting) in Studley. It costs £10 per pitch which is 15ft wide x 24ft deep. There is usually about 500 stalls there.
My mate and I are going next weekend (weather permitting).0 -
Can I join again please?
My total for April was a little pathetic
Work was just silly last month and I didn't find the time to post (and keep myself on the straight and narrow) quite so often.
Anyway, I'm determined to reach the target this month and I've already had a slightly better start to May than April
So far:
Amazon Book Sales: £16.21
Ebay Sales: £3.73
Total: £19.94 :jO/draft 1Abbey:£1000 Student Loan [STRIKE]£10,825[/STRIKE] £9030 Personal Loan: [STRIKE]£4900[/STRIKE]£4809 Apple Finance: £1000

Still the same, so far anyway! Sold something on ebay earlier and have a few items ending tonight so fingers crossed.
Since I'm not counting money till it's in my paypal/greenmetropolis/amazon or bank account it's slow going at the moment but it WILL pick up (positive vibes and all that)
Just started a mega listing spree on ebay only for it to now crash and not let me list anything else, might do it through turbolister! (just had that lightbulb!) or go check my play and greenmetropolis accounts to sort out whats listed and whats not.
What to do!? Got the day off tomorrow and again on Tuesday, no chance of overtime at my work but will give me oodles of extra time to get on top of things.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend!The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time
