Calling any helpful gardeners

I am pretty much a budding gardener, but still a novice in the garden.

I am trying to take cuttings to grow. Any tips for achieving root growth and how to self make a greenhouse environment?

Thanks

we experimented taking cuttings of plants in our garden just using some rooting powder and plastic bags around the pots we kept the cuttings in in(only because I remembered my mum used to do that. Kept the pots on a window sill which wasn't subject to big changes in temperature. No more scientific than that

Results are amazing. In particular the Hydrangeas which are now like triffids !
