    Hi Ange
All HDMI leads are the same, they will all fit your TV & box its just different quality leads.
I personally don't think there is much difference in quality between a £20 HDMI cable and a £80 one but that is open for debate.

I have 3 of them between £15 and £30 and get great quality pictures with all.

HDMI leads are HDMI leads - there is no high quality ones, nor low quality ones.

I suspect the difference you see is purely psychological.

    We have just left VM.

the only HD channel was BBC. You gonna buy a cable to watch one channel?

Of course-then you will get the upscaled picture from all channels-who on earth is going to buy a HD set-then V-Box ,and not view HD?.
The HDMI lead is supplied free from Virgin anyway.:o
