I think in all fairness, that until the house is sold you are stuck in limbo. Is there any way your ex can afford the full amount for a while?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

We all have our reasons. Don't panic there will be a way through it all.
I know with me a lot of problems occurred when i had to give up a very well paid job. Weirdly enough you still feel pressurised into keeping up appearances, with phrases like;
she's the sensible one etc.
Aren't you doing well in the circumstances...
and so on.
It becomes harder and you feel like you are living a lie. Then it all hits you at your lowest moment.
so the only way is up now.
I typed a reply for you before about MBNA, who own Virgin. I think the best approach would be to say that payment and statements crossed and you only realised when you received the statement, and you are willing to set up a DDebit to ensure it doesn't happen again.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

With regards to your SOA, i would definately (if not tied into a contract) get phone and broadband down. I pay £19 amonth for phone and BB with Talktalk.This includes unltd phonecalls for local & uk calls. Obviously 08 nos and mobiles not included. There are deals to be had through Quidco, for swapping phone providers.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks - I will try again with Virgin... its so depressing. I just did the snowball thing - its weird when you see it set out like that. Its so annoying to look at your next three odd years of paying off debt, knowing you have made it all happen...0

I will check when my BB expires as its fairly new - I think its usually less but I have been making calls on it when I shouldn't.0

Well, the best way to look at it.. is to draw a line under the past and look only at the present and the future.
Many folks on the site set themselves a challenge..
To pay off so much in x amount of time.
Have a look at the challenge board at the top, and see if anything grabs your fancy. It is about the journey, and setting yourself goals.
It may be worth looking at reclaiming any charges you have, looking at a getting a second job, e baying, car booting, comping, match betting ( am working on this myself) anything to raise extra money to chuck at debts.
I always motivate myself by looking at diaries, and as ever there are wonderful folks on here to give you support on your journey.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks so much for keeping replying to me - you are really cheering me up! I have reclaimed all bank charges in the past but I probably am due an ebay session. I have always pondered the match betting with interest but am a bit too scared to try it!0
