We hold a b'day party every summer for all the Chihuahua pups we have bred over the years. They absolutely love Liver Cake. We use a recipe as below and cover the top with a layer of cream cheese. We then sprinkle little dog treats on the top to make it look pretty.

The dogs go wild for it! However be warned, you will stink of garlic for days after!

Approx. 375g of Liver, 2 eggs and 2-4 cloves garlic

Whiz in a food processor - add in 1 cup of Self-Raising flour. Put in a baking tray. Bake for 20-30 minutes in a moderate oven. Cool and chop.IMGP0575.JPG

    You're all bonkers, honestly!

You ask for a doggie cake and say you can't get it from Pets at Home, then something posts a recipe and you say you don't want it because you won't be able to eat it! Did you think Pets at Home were going to make sponge cakes for humans?!!

I know it may seem mad to some but we have a party every year because its an excuse for everyone to get together and for us to see how our pups are growing up. For most people their dogs are a member of their family so I see no reason why birthdays shouldn't be celebrated if it makes people happy.
Here is our pug wolfing a piece of birthday cake.
