Can anyone help? It's been like it for a week. The only screen I can see is a screen saying there is no satelite signal being received.

I bought a quad lnd about 4 months ago to get sky in 2nd room. it's worked fine. the downstairs sky went a week ago and the bedroom sky was next a couple of days later. anyone have any ideas?

I would guess it sounds like the LNB, can you put the original one back to test each receiver in turn?

It can come out of alignment or if it doesn't have the protective cover over the lnb it can "burn out" it sounds like this is what as happened here as first one then the other went.
  • Have you been through the usual process of cleaning the viewing card or rebooting the box? If the card cleaning doesn't work try unplugging the power lead from the back of the receiver (with the power on - green light on) then leave it unplugged for 30 seconds then plug it back in.

I have had my box for about 7 years and whenever I get that problem one of those solutions always works.

    Good luck.

that was weird. I plugged it into one of the available (protected) sockets and it works now.

Is there any advice you can give to stop this happening again?

I don't understand. You plugged the card into a protected socket?

Anyway, did you seal the LNB connections correctly? If rainwater got in, you'll have to replace the entire run of cable.

If you didn't fit self-amalgamating tape or boots, try googling 'LNB rubber boots' for details on how to.
