Broadband vs Dialup

Is there a good dialup provider out there? I have to set someone up on the net, but they will never get broadband, as they're too remote.
I know I could search, but does anyone have any good cheap deals out there, as I don't really want to put them onto a PAYG dial up! I used to use BT's Surftime, but it looks like that's long gone!
The best I can find is Demon's at ½p a minute weekend.
Thanks

How do you know they can't get broadband. Everywhere in East Yorks can and that includes hamlets with a few houses in the middle of nowhere.
Virtually everyone has phased out dialup. If they can get a mobile phone signal, perhaps looking at mobile internet from Vodafone or "3" is an idea. Even if they're only on 2G speeds, it's still nearly 3 times faster than dialup.0 -
Hi, I'm presuming your wanting an unlimited service for a flat fee a month? Zaggle's 60 package (http://www.zaggle.net/content/unmetered/index.php) offers 60 hours per month for £5.99 a month, otherwise for fully unlimited there's fast4 unlimited (http://www.fast4.net/_files/dial_opts.asp) at £8.99 a month. I just found this information on the main MSE site so there may be others, but these two look pretty good. Having said that I've been on broadband for several years so I'm not really up to date with reasonable dialup prices. But anyway, thats my two pence worth.0

Actually they're so remote, that the mobile only works if stood outside the house. You see we do have remote parts of the country in Scotland. Where the nearest BT exchange is 10 miles away... And because we've already done the line test.
If you can get Tesco Home Delivery, you're not remote!A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -
I have been using the Fast4 lite user dialup option (£4.95 per month for 10 hours per week online time) for several months without any problem.0

There are plenty of remote places that still can't get BB, in fact some islanders have only just got onto the National Grid for electricity!

I think Virgin, Tesco and others also still offer their monthly dial-up packages which use an "freefone" number, so you aren't charged for the 'phone call.0
