When our children were little - and complaining about hunger or thirst on motorway journeys - I would suggest they chew on their cheek cells and drink their spit. It kept them quiet for a bit while they pondered this invaluable advice from a caring mother. Thus I feel it only right these days, when on the road, to practice what I preached all those years ago. Anyway, with the cost of fuel these days, who can afford to eat on the road?!if i had known then what i know now0
