Our Halifax Reg Savers (x2) are funded directly (by SO) from a Halifax web account. So time in transit, per annum = zero.
But have to admit they're the sole Reg Savers I now maintain, as the associated hassle of feeding others away from the normal source of my current account - is simply not worth the return. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

2-4 days interest on £3000 pcm
2-4 days pcm is 24-48 days p.a. on £3000. In the most pessimistic scenario if the transfers take 4 days on average you lose about £3000*4%*48/360=£16 (net).0
