Hi,
I am looking for a way to brighten up a movie i took on my camcorder.
I had taken a movie of at a friends surprise birthday, when they were coming into the room for the surprise but as it was indoors, the picture is quite dark.
I have tried a few programs to brighten it but with no luck.
The programs i tried were Sony Vegas and Windows Movie Maker.
I am not totally sure if what i was doing was correct but hope someone here would be able to suggest a program or methods on how to do this.
Thanks.

I've always been happy with VirtualDub or TMPGenc, freeware editors, but they can be quite fiddly in certain respects. There are guides for using it at places like videohelp.com and afterdawn.com tho'IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer
