Help! Locksmith needed!

I've locked myself out of my flat in Belfast and was wondering if anyone has any experience with locksmiths in Belfast , or in general- How much is it likely to cost me and if there are any money saving tips (besides "don't forget your keys, you fool").

Thanks!

I've never used them so I have no idea of prices, but I've seen lots of local advertisements for Belfast Locks. Freephone no: 0500 980999

It's also worth considering...........if you have any small panes of glass near your lock, you may find it a lot cheaper to break a small pane, open the door yourself. Then replace the glass.

Being a glasscutter for over 20 years. We've seen loads of times when people have done this. Our minimum glazing costs were around the £45/£50 mark to replace a small pane. We were told many times that locksmiths charged a lot more than this for a callout. If you could replace the glass yourself, it shouldn't cost you any more than £10/£20 for a small piece of glass (toughened or laminated) and putty.

Only one tip for the future.........leave a spare key with
