I got a grant for loft insulation & cavity wall insulation (don't want to be on telly tho!) and thought they were fabulous. They did it all within 2 - 3 months, no hassle, all on the same day too. And then an inspector called a couple of weeks afterwards to check it was all done properly before it was signed off.
Can't recommend the service highly enough actually. It's not all bad.

These 2 may be of use to people...

    Hi,
I just wanted to know if I was entitled to any help. My landlord rang me to say he heard on the news that certain people would get help towards making there home warmer ect. I am a single parent with one child living in a private rented property. Even in the summer its cold in here. When my son is at school I dont have no heating on as im on a budget but if I can get some help that would be great. can someone please tell me who I need to contact to find out if i am entitled or not. Thanks

Good luck, hope you get it, as it really does make a difference to the warmth in your home, and reduces your energy bills too, as you can keep the temperature down a tad... :D

Let us know how you get on!

In the last 18 months we have had loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and a new boiler, hubby receives industrial injury and disability living benefits. The boiler alone was £2,300, really pleased that we quaified and a lovely job they did as well.

Hi, Reently a boiler has been fitted from Warm front grant. Does anyonw know are they allowed to take the old boiler with them? After all the boiler it is mine and I previously bought it. Thanks M

Parents had a full central heating system installed that's worth over £2,700 for just under £400 cost to them under the WarmFront scheme.

Regarding your boiler: I think you have to tell them not to dispose of it and they'll not do so but am not 100% sure on this - remember reading something about this in the WarmFront literature when my parents signed up for the grant though.

    Hi

Does anyone know if there are any grants/discounts available to ordinary homeowners who are not on any sort of benefits for cheaper cavity wall insulation?

    Thanks
