something to remember is packages travel in sacks/trolleys(yorkies in rm speak)
so whilst it may seem well packaged, how will it hold up under Xkg of weight on top of it?
this is where the bulk of damaged items occur

Not sure where to get them as I tend to recycle ones from packets I have received, but crushed up polystyrene works just as well :D

    Edited to add:

    Ebay!

I brought perfume off ebay before and sellers tend to send it in its original packaging inside a bubble wrap envelope with fragile written over it.

    Always comes in 1 piece.

I've bought several bottles of perfume - just jiffy-bagged tends to produce a bumped box, so it's not great if you're buying as a gift. I'm always really grateful to sellers who box it.

    Good point.

To be honest I just by it for personal use so never was worried about the box.

but I suppose as a gift it would be a issue.
