LOL Mizmir!
Well free bingo last night reaped no reward.........bah!
Today I need to do some more of that bloomin college work, then go to college this evening for a bit, before I have to go for an x-ray - at 7.30pm!!! I didn't realise you could get appointments for evenings!
Moneywise, the loan money should be going into my account today, so I can clear some credit cards and delight in ringing to cancelI will also update the snowball and the signature so you can see what the horrors of my current figures are!!
Have a good day everyone xxxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
hope you have a good one too Hypno - what's the x-ray for?
I've got work at school this morning, home for three hours then teaching for an hour. Then a relaxing evening making sure DD chills as she has her first AS exam tomorrow!!!0 -
I am still having a problem with my shoulder after the car accident that I had last July, so going to see if there is any damage to the bone, before the GP refers me for further physio. It has dragged on too long now, and I just want to get it sorted, so very pleased to have got an appointment.
Good luck to DD for the AS levels - our student lodger is doing hers too, including a couple of days where we have to carry out supervision as there is a clash - no laptop, no phone, no talking to friends for her!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ohh.............. luckily DD doesn't have any clashes (DS did for both AS & A2) and DD's BF does as well. Her exams are pretty well spread out though next ones are the 15th / 16th May then 2nd / 3rd June. Then she goes in to hospital on the 5th !!! Its art tomorrow so that is a 5 hours exam plaus the prelim work which has meant a trip to london and about 50 hours work - I have to say though what she is doing looks stunning !!!!0

Morning Hypno
Great to see you charging ahead like this, as always your energy is inspiring. You really put me to shame.
Love lurking on your diaries, i think the title is awesome.
As for your quidco emquires I have 2 still oustanding from 2006 totalling £40, really not hopeful...The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. - Chinese Proverb

Morning FrugalJo! Yes, I have a Dec 2006 enquiry with quidco too - £32 and from time to time I nudge them, but don't appear too hopeful! I have had many hundreds of pounds successfully come through from quidco so can't complain if the odd one goes astray......but the two I have recent enquiries for total £230 so I will def be pursuing those until they pay up
Surfbabe....I am about as good at art as I am at unicycling whilst on a pogostick.........not one of my talents :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well it seems likeit was soon morning for me. I have been up since 6.30. So what have I done for 2 hours? Er, not a lot. Made my cup of tea, cleaned the kitchen sink, put on a load to dry (as its pouring with rain here), and er, wrote my diary. Have been trying to analyse how I am going to get my shop into the higher turnover bracket if I want a rise this coming year. 2 years with no payrise is not good. Last year it was becuase the shop I was in was down graded, this year its becuase I have transfered to one in a lower turnover band. I need to get sales up by something like 60% to just earn an extra £700 a year. Perhaps it will be easier to do one of the challenges on here. Except I havent got the bingo nerve. Its asking me to pay in something like £170 to be able to withdraw the £26.88 I have in the bonus pot? Not got that in the bank so I cant do it.
Physio this morning before I go into work. Buying a breadmachine that was donated into work today, but dont have a recipe for bread. More trawling the MSE site later I fear. Take care, hope alls well in the Hypno household. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo, there will def be recipies for breadmakers on the oldstyle board - I am sure they are a whizz at coming up with things like that!
If not, google the make of your new breadmaker and you will prob find recipes on there! happy breadmaking!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
A good start to the day.......
I don't know if any of you old timers can remember my concerted effort to reduce my gas/electric bill because we are paying £149 a month
Well, the efforts have paid off - after the last quarterly bill, we were over £200 in credit, so got £200 back from them, then today we got a new bill showing we are just over £100 in credit, so have asked for that back.
Also, they are reducing the monthly payment down from £149 to £106, so £46 a month :j with effect from June's payment (too late to do it for May's).
I am going to do a standing order for £46 a month to the frozen egg card, so that I can capitalise on the saving, rather than let it get "lost" in the general "spending black hole".....
