They really do become part of the family while they are here. Because they are young, they miss home, friends, etc - they are really good with the kids etc.

and of course the £120 a week comes in handy ;)

    Hi,

We've given up on house hunting for a while and found a place to rent at least until after Christmas, but don't move in for about 6 weeks, so still nomadic. At least we're in England at the moment so catching up with seeing family especially our 2 sons :D Also catching up with the dentist, checkup next week

With your twos skiing, do they have to be selected for the skiing camps, or can they be pre-selected from their last course?

...Karma, no the money stuff is not really sorted - just made easier!

If we are lucky, the new job will allow us to break even. It does not, however, allow us to get the children skiing (even the races in the UK) or to make any extras towards the debt, or to save for emergencies or, heaven forbid, to have a holiday!

So, although it makes it much easier, I still HAVE to get the extra income in one way or another or else we will be on minimum payments for ever and the debt will never be gone.......

Ah, it was beginning to sound like thats the way of it. What it shows, really, is how remarkably well you've done until now, that even with this huge salary increase, you're only just going to break even.

Still what *that* means now is that all the effort you put into extra money can go into ****huge***** repayments. That can only be good!

Yes, KC, the mountain is still there to be climbed :o

se999, they can go back again next year - as long as the funds can be found......we have not committed yet, but would quite like to be able to do something. Quite how it would work we are not sure - DD starts her GCSE years and is doing the sports diploma too, so far more work to fit in as well. A compromise will be reached, no doubt!

It sounds like a few more years of the printer cartridge campaign.

Hope your DD's school is helpful. With the sports diploma will she get credit for her skiing and karate, or is it seperate? If she gets credit it would reduce the total workload a bit.

The school is very helpful and it worked well this year, so I am sure it will be ok. Also the college where she will go one day a week has said they are sure they can sort things so that she can complete everything - maybe not in the same order as everyone else on the course, but as they said "we are offering a sports performance course - if she is away doing sport, and we cannot provide her with work to fit in, then the college should not be offering a sports performance course!"

so no worries on that front!
