Up at 5.30 and on the train to Edinburgh.... yesterday was in London (live in Yorkshire!). Getting too old for this!! Roll on DFD and the chance to change direction.... and spend some time at home.
Only plus is I get free lunch and expenses!
Have a good day everyone.
Free lunch is better than nothing! you don't have to pay out for sandwiches etc so look on it as a bonus and but the £3 you would spend on lunch in a piggy bank for DFD!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Ohhhhh me too!! :rotfl: Even though I'm sort of, kind of, debt free now! Donations towards a functional (a 100% working bathroom would be lovely
at it is so not at the moment), non avocado bathroom and normal plumbing would be greatfully received! :rotfl:
I took out my loan last year to pay for roof repairs and bathroom renovations. I still haven't had the bathroom work done (for various reasons) and wont be able to for a few months still so I've finally bit the bullet and repaid the loan... a scary amount of money exit my account this morning   It seemed pointless to be paying more in interest so its gone (hopefully...lol). Now for saving like a loony for months to get it done as I am NOT spending another winter with that bathroom! Ventilation is good in a bathroom but not due to a badly fitting window  In winter its about 2 degC in there... oh and the lead tank and pipes have to go too... and the (chipped) avocado suite with a scary white bit on the bath... the leaking shower... plus a heap of replastering... Arghhhhhhh!!
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

 Avocado
Reminds me of Mom's kitchen in which the appliance only get replaced as they wear out!!! -- and we all know that anything made in the 50's & 60's takes ages to go!
 Avocado
Take heart it's not bubble gum pink!!! Granma picked it (Dare I say she was actually an icon of style in her time?), once again in the late 60's and Gramps refused to let us change it when Mom bought the house. Not sure what Mom's excuse is now...:rotfl: ... but then she's not in debt & OH and I are!
 Avocado
...mmmmmmmm guacamole and corn [STRIKE]chips[/STRIKE] oops, make that crisps mmmmmmmm...
lunch was far too healthy -- hypno inspired of course -- with an apple for sweet!
Hypno, hope you are having a lovely & rewarding week at your new job, despite the sleepwalking! You are truly amazing!

Yep Avocado  its evil... Mind you my kitchen is not much better... I have a brown sink and cooker  Mind you at least they function... well, apart from the grill! Its not possible to shine my sink a la flyladyThat'll be why I fail at that then... :rotfl: My previous flat sported a strange beige/brown bathroom suite... oooohhhhh that was bad...
My flat basically needs stripping out and starting again ... definitely a do-er upper. At least its mine tho... So many of my friends and collegues live in cupboard sized pads, have eyewatering mortgages (sometimes both  ) or can't even get on the property ladder at all.Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
