Thanks El, I will head over and have a read of that one!!
Kitchen is being cleaned in stages.....it is too bloomin hot to do housework! It does look better than it was......but I am a bit half hearted about the whole effort thing required!!!
I have written to my Nana, though, so that is another thing off the list - went to print it out and we have run out of ink! So I have emailed it to myself at work to print out there........why is nothing ever straight forward here!!??
And the conservatory is still too hot to sit in - that one may need to wait until later this afternoonSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Managed to get DS some trainers - in the sale so £12.49....not too bad. Also got him some roller blades in the sale - he has grown out of his and used them all the time, so have bought him some more as an early birthday present (his birthday is in Sept so not toooooo ridiculous!). So he can now keep himself amused through the summer hols and I get to take advantage of sale prices!
Resisted temptation to buy masses of other stuff but have realised since I got home we need milk.......may have to send DS roller blading down to the shop......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Afternoon - I;m covered in white emulsion at the moment. As DH, DS and DD are away I've decided to decorate our bedroom  . So paintwork has been rubbed down and undercoated. Walls cleaned, holes filled and ceiling and coving emulsioned. On list to do this afternoon is coat of gloss and maybe two walls emulsioned as well. I figure its a good way to lose weight as I'm really hot and sweaty and have just been drinkning water - too hot to eat. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well done on the deals on trainers Hypno - Luckily my two buy their own stuff now - well most of the time anyway.
Have a nice afternoon0 -
Just a thought - have you capped your rate on electric and gas? bit more saving in the pot and do it through Quidco and even more in the pot0
-
Hi surfbabe, no I have not yet capped my electric simply because my rate has just been reduced and I am liking the reduced payments for a few months!!!
I know I need to get it sorted, and I got my online bill this week, but can't for the life of me remember my password.....d'oh!!!!
Well done on the decorating though - I once decorated through a heatwave but the paint was drying before I had chance to brush it on........gave a very *interesting* paint effect
The sun has moved round enough for me to sit in the conservatory - another thing I can cross off my list!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
OK - tried every username/password combination and finally got into my electricity account and I am £186.66 in credit!!!!!!!
So, this is the third quarter in a row that i have been significantly in credit and that is WITH my payments being reduced :j and I have checked to see that it is not an estimated bill, so that is good too!
So, I am kinda going to stick with this and NOT change - but I don't know whether to take the £186 out, or keep it there to offset against future rises or bigger electric bills.......what do you reckonSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground.
