Hypno's "bursting with energy" diary.......

Options
So, here we are.....chapter three of my debt diary! Welcome aboard!!

The title is designed to spur me on to do all those things I need to do in order to get debt free - I figured that if I can't get energy anywhere else, I may as well try to get it from here.....!

So, things, for those that don't know......

Well, I have somewhere in the region of £55000 of non mortgage debt, some secured, some unsecured. The figure in my signature needs to be amended because of the "extras" that have crept in without me looking.......generally while I was away with the kids skiing......

However, the total figure used to be well over £100,000 so we are doing ok......really......oh yes we are!

Debt busting has been on hold these last few months, with the emphasis on getting the children skiing for the winter - this was largely successful, although very very expensive, and not something we will undertake lightly in the future.

I also start a new, better paid, job next week, so full steam ahead!

In addition to the job, and the debt busting, I am at college part time doing my teaching qualification - I am no longer teaching, but it seems silly to give it up now when it will be something useful on my CV should I need it.

I also have 2 very active children who do a huge amount of sport and who need running around all over the country (and indeed Europe in the winter) in order to do this.............

.....and I have applied to run next year's London Marathon - no idea yet whether I will get in, but the intention is there!

.............Hence the urgent appeal for energy. If anyone has any lying around, feel free to send it over!!

I have relied heavily on my diaries in the past to keep me going on this long slog that is my debt free journey. All those who contribute and lurk have helped me more than you will possibly ever realise......so please please pop in from time to time, the kettle is always on (although no biscuits at the moment because I am on a diet!).

xx

Anyway, I was going to say 'Happy new diary' and if I find any energy over here I'll make sure that you get some too.

  • It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since you started the other one.Looking forward to seeing the next phase of debtbusting.
If you have no energy, then there is precious little hope for the rest of us!!

    So, DFW news for today:
    • I made a profit of £15.70 on a paddypower bonus thing
    • I picked up a £5 phone mystery shop to do on Wednesday
    • I took out a loan to clear some of the credit cards (don't worry, I know all the pitfalls of the whole consolidation trap, but I had Pania with me every step of the way doing the sums.........) so hopefully the figures will go down a bit quicker.
    • I have not used the car
    • Other than spending £17.99 on a printer cartridge for the college work, I have not spent anything!
:o Um, the one in the middle just sort of snook in.....

Well done on being so productive I think a loan is a great idea in your situation due to you paying interest on credit cards.
