Two rejections??

in Credit cards
I have never had a problem getting credit before, I'm a home owner, employed, etc.
I have a couple of cards that I switch balances on, so when one came up for renewal I applied to Virgin to switch the balance, and I was rejected.
Thought it was strange but wondered if it was due to me trying to transfer too much. Made sure I cancelled any outstanding cards, etc, left it a month, then applied for a Barclaycard.
Online application was accepted, but then I get a letter telling me I have been rejected.
So, just in case something is a miss I applied for a credit expert report.
One thing that does seem wrong is on the application details, it says people who I am financially connected to, and it says my name again, but with a date of birth of 01/01/1900, more than 82 years my senior!!
Could this be a problem? Why would it be there?
Also on a few other financial association entries, it has me associated to myself again but this time with a dob of 01/01/2000 again, very wrong.
Does this mean anything?
Other than, out of all the entries I have loads of green zero's, and only one entry with a 2 in it (2 missed payments).
Is it worth me applying for my credit score for £5.99? Will that tell me anymore?
I have a mortgage renewal coming up in a couple of months and am really worried that this could effect my re-mortgage application.

If I were you I'd call Experian and have a chat with them about the anomolies. I've always found them helpful when I've had queries.:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

I will give them a call, are the anomolies likely to be giving me a problem though?
Otherwise I can't see what the problem is, nothing has changed recently but this is the 1st & 2nd time I have been denied a card.
I'm wondering if could be due to having access to too much credit.
My lloyds cc that I use for purchases (not a balance transfer card) has a huge limit of £12,250.
If I were to phone barclaycard and ask them why I was rejected would they tell me? The letter said to write to them with any queries but I'd like to know now if possible.
I've never been rejected for anything like this before and I feel like I've done something wrong!! Especially more worrying as I say, I am re-mortgaging in the next couple of months.0
