Special Reserve sent me this email through.
Seems like a pretty good Spec DVD/DivX player for the money
http://specialreserve.co.uk/Eltax-DV-153-Compact_2846_r.html?af=ur020905&afset=1
Official note:
While you can bag DVD players for around £20, this is multi-regional (can play DVD's purchased from abroad) and a DivX player (allows you to store lots of films) making it a top deal. Just to add, including the £2 delivery charge the full cost will be £35.99.

Anyone had experience with one of these and how they compare to the Kiss DP-1000. Eg are they compatible with more files and is the firmware as readily upgradable?0

I don't think the Starlogic plays DivX or Mpeg4 though, does it?0 -
well, have a look on the spec...all i know is that it has played everything I have thrown at it (eg: bootlegs from my tekkie friends)"Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
It's only teenage wasteland"

Doesn't mention it on the spec, just thought it might be a feature that Amazon had missed in their description. Still a good price for the player though.0

If you have any problems try here £35.99 (inc P+P) also have a few alternatives including the Yamada DVX-6700 :- http://gameloaded.co.uk/dvd_players/0

The Starlogic player has occasional glitches with the picture. Or at least my sister's does.0

Amazon Sell A Yacumo Multi Region Dvd Player For £29.99 With Scart Socket And Delivery Free.
I Bought 1 For My Daughter And We Have Had No Problems Atall.0 -
Those players look nice...
But when I buy one, I will be paying the extra £4 to buy:
http://specialreserve.co.uk/Eltax-DV-251-Compact_2935_r.html
and as a result, have the extra USB Port at the front, for using PenDrives, External Hard Disks etc...
USB port on a DVD Player? That's Genius in my oppinion!!0 -
FYI
Both the dvd players mentioned at special reserve are currentl out of stock0
