Canon FS100 Editing Software

I have just purchased the Canon FS100 camcorder from QVC, but I can't get the imaging software to run. It is Pixela Image Mixer 3SE It asks for a reference code which I enter, but it does not recognise it.
I phoned Canon and they said that there was a problem with the software,
they gave me another code to input, but still it doesn't work. They then suggested I phoned Panasonic because it is their software.
Before I phone Panasonic, I wondered whether anyone else has had this problem, and how you resolved it.
Any help would be very much appreciated...Thanks
