first charges i ever got..

Options
ok i was out trying to get a lone to put down a deposit on a house, i was 19 at the time, and because i had no credit record the bank (Halifax) sugested i built up a credit record by gettign a mobile phone contract etc.. and gave mt a £250 overdraft, around the same time i took out a life insurance with Halifax, seemed good at the time and was only costing me £5 a month.

the date for my £5 insurance was set at about the 8th of every month but by that time i had spent my money and had no money left in the account. i mean i did not realy know what was going on, i was 19 and wanted a good credit rating so i payed the charges of £35, but it kept happening everymonth! what realy took the .... was this

it was Halifax life insurance! my bank acount was with Halifax! they must of known.. easy money for them? it was just a nightmare because i was with halifax and they knew i had no money in my account yet they still ket trying to take money knowing the account was empty. eventualy i canclled the insurance to stop it all.

i cant remember howmuch in charges i payed because of this, im still waiting for my statments wich cost me £5, looking at my online statment i still cant see the £5 having gone out for the request of the statments ans its worrying my that they "forgot" to set my request up on purpose.

halifax are realy sneeky with me. my first request by phone for all previous statments had been "forgoten" they had no record. i phoned my local brach to ask for all my statments (account oppened 13 oct 2006) to today, and i was asked "is this so you can claim bank charges" in a RUDE manor! had to lie... told them it was for personal records. got told "thats fine, i will cost you £5" and should take around 10 working days.

the cheek :rotfl: "is this so you can claim bank charges"....

over the last 2 years ive had over £2000 in bank charges and need those statments to prove it! so guess what i lied.. (shhhhh) i will be claiming!

This is why people should always send a formal subject access request along with the statutory fee. Then they have no excuse and it is none of their business what you will do with the information. :)
