Condenser Tumble Dryer in cupboard?

Hi
We are struggling for space at home, we currently have a condenser tumble dyer in our bathroom. Even though it is a condenser it still lets off some steam, we usually open the window but sometimes dont bother - which does create some stam/mist if the door is closed also.
We were thinking of putting it under out stairs in the cupboard, we currently have the washing machine there and thought of putting it on top. We will keep the cupboard open when using, but I guess small amounts off steam will reamain and dry naturally.
Is this a good idea? or will be have a nightmare in the long term with damp and mould cupboard walls??
Please help.

Additionally anyone know if it is safe to put a Tumble Dryer directly on top of a Washing Machine?0

We have had our condenser tumble dryer in a cupboard for a few years now and have had no problems we just leave the cupboard door slightly open when we use the dryer.
I don't know if a tumble dryer would sit safely on top of a washing machine as there would be some movement when the washing machine is going through a spin cycle.0 -
we have our tumble dryer on top of our washing machine to no averse effect..
putting it under the stairs should be okay as long as there is plenty of ventelation...put one of those vents top and bottom of door would help...THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -

yes you can stack them, indeed there are even support brackets about for that purpose.

Thanks for the advice.
I have never done this, but would have thought that in the long term it would cause some damp or mould on the wallls.0 -
b.t.w. To add to the previous advice (we also have condensing dryer in a cupboard with washing machine with no problems) did you know that some condenser dryer models have an optional drain kit that allow the water to be routed directly into the same drain as the washing machine, thus removing the need to constantly empty the tank?
