aye but whats the betting she got home and hubby said ok well if they ring say this story...afterall if there was no damage to their car they wouldnt have bothered even telling their insurance...i hate to say it, we live in a fairly dishonest world...i have learnt my lesson and in any accident you should get a witness and make sure they are willing to be contactable...the witness is by far the most important thing over getting the other party to accept liability as if it ever comes to a there word vs your word in a case that is dubious unfortunately usually no one wins :S
esp in your case OP because there are v. few cases where damage can be done to the front of your car without it being your deemed your fault - hence the other drivers "spin" on the story0 -
Just after the accident the woman was lovely and made sure I was ok after apologising for not seeing me, as she wasn`t looking where she was going.
She provided me with her mobile and I called her that evening, and got a frosty reception - she had obvisouly been talking to hubby who said well lets say this .......
Have spoke to my solicitor this morning and we have decided to take her to court. I`d regret it if I didn`t.
I have the NCP guy on side and the fact she made an admission at the time of the accident apparantly goes in my favour !!
We`ll see what happens. She seemed an honest woman and if she is being told to say differently by her husband I`m sure that the fact she would have to lie in court would be enough to put the frighteners on her.
Will keep you updated !Debt Free Jan 2010!(Be happy) the state of your life is nothing more than the state of your mind! X:j0 -

You go for it
And I hope the other driver realises they are nothing but a liar.0 -
Go get em! Keep us updated, she should get a rap on the knuckles from the court when she's proven to be a liar.0

NellyLock wrote:i hate to say this but as mean/cruel/wrong as it sounds i read elsewhere on this forums that by accepting liability for any accident at the time could be breaching your insurance contract and your insurance company can effectively cancel your contract with them if they found out! neil
I know you are reporting what others have said, but I doubt very much if they would or could cancell your insurance cover because you made an admission at site.
Even if they did cancel they would still be liable under the MIB rules, so there would be no point.0
