Having spent the last half hour on BT’s website trying to find their latest version of “the price of calls to Specialised Numbers from BT Fixed Lines”, I’m tearing my hair out with frustration. I saved a copy from a thread on here a while ago, but it’s dated March 08 and I wondered whether there might be a more up to date version (ie after April). I get as far as their downloadable price list (http://www.serviceview.bt.com/list/public/zdocs/index.htm) but I can’t find the title on the list. Under the call charges the list seems to go back several years and isn’t in the same format as the one I’m trying to find. Has anyone got a link to it, or can you tell me where I can find it, please? Many thanks.

HERE is the April 2008 version (I don't think you'll find one 'after April' until, at the earliest, next month).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Sorry if I’m asking something silly, but I’m getting a bit confused. On BT’s notice for changes to BT’s pricing (I think it was issued around Feb) they say, “From 1st April 2008 the Evening rate for UK5 geographic calls will change from 4.5 pence for calls up to an hour, to 1.5 pence per minute and a 6p set-up fee will apply”. However, on page 42 of April’s “Specialised Numbers” list, there’s a footnote under “Unlimited Weekend Plan - UK Call Prices” saying “ *Evening & night-time calls are charged 4.5 pence per call for the first hour”, which I thought had been removed (as in their statement in Feb’s changes to BT’s pricing). I’m sure it’ll be me reading it incorrectly, but I’d appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me. Many thanks (again!).

I don't think it's you reading it wrong - I think BT has failed to update that on the Specialised Prices list (the pdf they put out on the 1st February and 1st April changes certainly says exactly that - and that is exactly what has happened).

The last one (when it was Telewest) I can find is from 2003

    Thanks in advance
