Mines working great although Sat remote doesnt work but I dont mind picture is very good. The only thing I cant do is TV link but found a manual way of setting it so it can tape freeview (built in TV).
Thanx OP.Look after the pennies and the pounds will spend themselves0 -
Thanks for your replies, I am glad it works . . . . . now all my family vids will be stored on DVD, wow what will I do with the extra space as I have about 30 tapes to convert!
thanks again :-)If Tescos and Asda are lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet? :rotfl:0 -

Anyway, after my ordeal, is anyone else aware of other DVD recorders similar to this that are sub £100? I do like the idea of using timeslip on DVD-RAM discs although that feature missing from another player wouldn't stop me buying if it was at the right price.
Any suggestions welcome :-)
How about this one?

Mine is a Sony Wega Tele and I have a automatic scart switcher (£9.99 from Asda) with everything going through decoder scart (scart 2) on JVC and Scart 1 out of JVC into Tele Scart 1.
I have set the JVC as Follows.
F-1 input video
L-1 input Video (which is the Tele so will tape whatever the Tele channel is)
bear in mind the Tele has to be on the channel.
L-1 output scart RGB
L-2 Select Sat Vid. (Sky box)
Iam getting very good quality recordings on this set up.
I have also plugged my video into the the auto scart switcher and JVC will record.
The only thing mine dosent seem to have whatever Ive tried is the TV link.Look after the pennies and the pounds will spend themselves0
