Nice Little Compact Camera - Sony DSC-H3

Good evening,
I am in the US at the moment, and fancy getting myself a nice little camera. I was originally planning to invest in an SLR, but for the amount I will use it at present I think a compact will be more than adequate.
I have only had a brief look in the shops (been too busy buying make up!), but I have found the following Sony compacts at what appear to be good prices:
DSC-H3 $200
DSC-H10 $280
DSC-H7 $250
I have read several reviews, but opinion seems to be varied (from excellent to average).
If I was going to go for any, it would be the H3, but that would be based on price. I think it is an older model, but as long as it does the job, that is not an issue for me.
I would primarily be using it for outside shots, possibly more in the evenings, and the occasional indoor concert. Other than that, just everyday stuff, nothing particularly specialised.
Any opinions would be very welcome x

Thank you! Good to know that someone else is awake at this time (have been here for four days and am still on UK time) ...
My mum has an Olympus, she has always been happy with it, but then she isn't the best photographer, and therefore nor are her pics!
This shopping thing is just addictive!!! xGone ... or have I?0 -

Don't bring the box with you as you will have to explain where you bought the camera and may end up with VAT and duty. 'Spose you could post yourself the empty box.0
