    went to get 342 colgate (99p each, 3 4 2 and £1 off when you buy 2 voucher) so paid 98p for 3 :D

popped the olay handcream stuff & olay wipes in the basket (to use the till spit & PC free wipes voucher) and some stuff for my lunch, (had already eaten my pack up before lunchtime LOL)

SA said "I need to see what vouchers you want to use before I can scan anything" Refused point blank to use the till spit on the handcream - I didn't argue as it does say "facial" and I thought "knowing my luck it won't work " She then went to bin the unused vouchers which I asked for back, as they still have ages left on them, she said "you won't be able to use them on these anyway so they're no use to you" I repplied that I obviously had picked up the wrong items as I was in a hurry and could return later to get the right items so I did have a use for them, - icily polite....
Asked for a moby top up and she told me she couldn't do it without me having a top up card, I asked could it not be printed, and she said NO.

Gave my cc to pay and she turned and looked at the till, then at the card, and said, haven't you got CASH? Eh? Its up to me to decide how I pay, as long as its a method they accept, isn't it??

I then asked her not to announce how much I had accumulated on my card, (as its no-one's business but mine) and she said she was doing her job as required! And then promptly bellowed the amount.:mad:

    I was fuming!!
At least I know I wasn't the only one who got a grilling at the tills today:p
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

  • If anyone still has the 75p off vouchers this is on offer at the moment for £1.09 so actually costs 34p.

Poor you ((((hug)))) If I were you I would phone up and complain about her. In my store it clearly has a red sign attached to the price of the handcream saying it can be used with the voucher - thats a definate as I saw it today. She probably was going to get it out of the bin when you had left. I have over £70 in points and every time I use it now the SA's point out on the receipt what I have left - thats the same in 4 different stores I use so again I would definately complain.

  • Oh my goodness  what a horrible 'person'. Who does she think she is? The vouchers don't state 'subject to SA approval' do they? Complain and complain loudly - how dare she?
:embarasse she should be - but you should hold your head up high and get back in there with a fistful of vouchers;)

I think I'll pay at a different counter next time :rotfl:

were you upstairs or downstairs? Don't really know the SAs in the market place unlike the Arnison centre where the youngish SA was outside on her break when I walked into the store and she smiled at me:rotfl:

  • have just emailed and complained. A bit eerie, as I was proof-reading to make sure my spelling was ok etc to have an email from Boots arrive telling me about the 10 points for £1 event!

    Will await developments.
