boo....just thought have you got WYSIWYG enabled?

Click 'User CP'
Click 'Edit Options' in Control Panel
Scroll to bottom of page to 'Miscellaneous Options'
Change option to 'Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing'
Click 'Save Changes'

I had it on that originally - just switched it back to post this and see if it has changed........... nope

My problem is in both versions but at least the other way i can put the colour codes in manually iyswim?

When I click on the dropdown box for the colours all I get is one box - it's white and obviously doesn't do anything - I know it's an odd one isn't it?

Once you're in the edit screen, just delete the text you don't want, just as if you'd typed it! It really is that easy...then type<snip> to show you've done it.

Bummer, well if you go for standard editing you will be able to use colours I typed out atleast.

Sorry about hex codes, thought that was what you were after as using basic editor lol.

Wierd that enhanced does not work for you!

Go to control panel
Go to Edit Options(left hand side list)
Then in the messaging and notifications box tick box to enable pm's
Then behave :rotfl:
