LloydsTSB Platinum BT offer

in Credit cards
Received in the post today an offer for 6 months at 0% providing you transfer before 30th September 2005. 2% fee capped at £40 for each BT.
I've only held card since 06/01/05
0845 450 4467 is contact number. WBC3 is reference
I would jump at opportunity I but have to wait for the outcome of my application for the Capital One 17 month deal which would be my second such card but only very recently closed on 06/06/05.
Is 3 months too early to re-apply? I'll let you know.

"If" I understand this correctly...
Your LTSB offer was personally addressed to you? If so others might not be able to use your reference quoted.
You already have a LTSB card that that was taken out in January this year, and is therefore no longer in it's intro period. Does it have a zero balance?
LTSB want to let you do another 0% BT for a further 6 months, for a £40 max fee and no credit search (possibly).
You have already applied for the latest Cap One offer - having only closed down (I mean properly closed down) your last Cap One card in June?
Cap One may have already searched your file, depending on when they received your application. This might be relevant with some card providers but LTSB don't report credit history to either Experian or Equifax and so Cap One won't be able to see the balance (or history) on your LTSB card.
If I've understood you correctly, then my advice would be to take the "free" LTSB money and say "thank you very much, that'll do nicely".
Then again, if I've misunderstood, I apologise.
Good luck and let us know how you go on (especially with the Cap One application). If you are declined, and the reason is the short time since closing the last Cap One card, then I'm sure other MSE's would be keen to know this.0 -
Rang Lloyds to enquire about transferring the unused credit on my Texaco card of £1500 (£4500 outstanding on £6000 limit at 3.9% LoB) onto my Lloyds Platinum (£4000 limit).
Telephonist said I can't do that even though Accucard are part of Loyds group they are treated as a separate organisation but he can increase my Platinum to £6500. Apparently you can apply for an increase every 6 months.
Just logged on to online banking at Lloyds and limit of £6500 is already in place.Old Saying Once bitten twice shy
