Maplin are selling CCTV cameras and I was wondering if they were any use, here is a link to the ones I was looking at, http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=223910&C=Newsletter&U=08P05-3_Sub2&T=12552827
I don't know much about CCTVs so if anyone could please advise me it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, very good set, I have a couple of wireless cameras and a DVR PCI Card for my pc, I record 24/7, this system is much better than mine and I get excellent results from my set up.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Do you get a clear picture from them at night? During the day do they provide much detail? Do you think they are worth the money?

Yip, if the little to-rag that nicked my bike comes back he is well captured, the night vision is very good, i could make out the reg on a taxi when some clubbers came back about 3am, day time is good and with these modern systems you can normally view the cameras remotly from over the internet, double check your kit before you buy it tho.

    Hi all

Just remember that if they are wireless, they MAY run on the same frequency as your home wireless network, and as such, they MAY interfere with any wireless network that connects your puter with your router.

Yes, if you switch your router on to channel 10 it will go away, channel 10 is the highest frequency in the wifi band 2.572GHZ, most comeras operate alot lower.
