Investing in fund with Hargreaves Lansdown - problem?

Hi I wonder if anyone can help.

I was planning on investing £100 per month into a unit trust fund through Hargreaves Lansdown and wanted to do it through a stocks&shares ISA; I am now filling in the online application form for their Vantage ISA but on "step 2" it said "The minimum total investment is £3,000 (with a minimum of £1,000 per holding). The maximum total investment is £7,200".I don't want to invest such a lump sum, is it possible to invest just £100 a month in their ISA? I'm aware they have a minimum of £50 per month for many funds but didn't realise you had to pay a £3k opening subscription as well???

Nah, should be fine. Call them up if you want to confirm it over the phone, but there really won't be a problem with that at all, I imagine.

    Thanks for the quick response!!

There doesn't seem to be a way past the online application without entering a £3000 minimum investment. Has anyone else experienced this???

If not maybe I have to phone them after all like you said

Phoning them is generally better. Their online limits are actually quite high, but when you call them up they'll usually let you get away with lower investments ;)

You cannot invest monthly using their online form. You need to download and print their paper form which allows monthly investment (£50 min) and also fill out the direct debit form.
