I sent some unwanted items back to Citadel Hardware in Huddersfield 3 weeks ago.
I have sent numerous emails and phoned the too but still have not had a refund:mad:
Last excuse was 'we are moving office and the payment system is down'. ''Fine, I'll have a cheque then'. I was told this was not possible as the MD has to sign them
.
I am so annoyed, they have not replied to any correspondence. They are also breaking the law, they have both my goods and my money.
Isn't that classed as theft

Not really
You have no legal right to a refund so they are free to keep the cash, as for the items you posted them off to them so unless you have some sort of proof they told you to in return for a refund you dont really have much of a leg to stand.0 -
They've accepted that they have received the goods and they were returned in line with distance selling regualtions within the given time frame.
The online website states very clearly that all items can be refunded/replaced if unsuitable. I'm pretty sure that I am within the law.
