Best compost to use

By way of interest Ive found Wilko's own brand fertilizer (Wonder Grow) is better than Miracle Grow especially with flowers.... It does have a higher potash content than most other fertilizers

Although it may differ between batches, I would not recommend Wilko's own-brand compost. I used some a couple of months ago and it was infested with vine weevil larvae and tiny black flies. I didn't realise until some of my seeds didn't start growing, so I dug down to the seeds and found the little maggots eating them :eek: and at the same time, loads of the black flies appeared around my existing plants (they are all in the house) - so I ended up having to buy bug-killer spray too, bang goes my organic gardening!
