Recording using freeview tv

I know that this is going to sound a silly question but here goes!
My mom wants to buy a new tv with freeview already installed rather than use a freeview box. Would she still be able to record one programme on her video player while watching another channel on her tv?
Thanks

My grandparents have this set up. Their Sony TV with built in freeview does allow them to set the digital channel to one channel, and then they flip over to analogue. The VCR can then record what is coming out of the digital tuner whilst they're watching the analogue tuner.
It regularly confuses them and I'm currently looking to get them a PVR to replace the VCR.0 -
It may be better for them to invest in a freeview recorder. That way they can replace the VCR with a sleeker unit and it will have ability to record all onto once place. Also providing it is a dual tuner it will give the option of watching one channel and recording the other.
I have this one and my mum (who wanted the same setup) liked it so much in terms of ease of use that she got me to order the same thing for her. She isnt very technical and she can use it no problem !! It was £40 when i bought it though !!
still a similar price on bigpockets though http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?lang=&product=GRADEA144- Mine was graded stock (which is superficial damage to THE BOX !!) - had it over a year with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL !!
if you can find this one in sainsburys then spot on http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/176276/goodmans-80gb-twin-tuner-freeview-p/ however its not too much more expensive here !!0
