    If you've supported yourself for 3 years you should be classed as an independent student and not assessed on your parents' income. if this is the case for you then you should ask your LEA to reassess you.You seem to be waiting for a policy that already exists!

    ps. Many people would love to be "screwed over" by having wealthy parents. Don't knock it!

    Thing is they class being at university as not support myself... so officially im only 2 years and not 3.. therefore im not independant in the governments eyes....

    Btw cheers for all the help guys... this is nicely cleared up for me now. Cant wait to move now :j

    I can see your problem. Many people in your circumstances would've put off university for another year until they'd achieved independent student status, but that's too late now.
