Well you could use this is my router as your WEP passphrase if you wanted to but a random string of characters is obviously much more secure!
Doesn't matter either way, if you are using WEP it can be cracked in 30 seconds whatever so it is a pretty pointless debate for WEP isn't it?0 -
i have set up the simple wep and the wep on the laptop. i can see that the router is protected. in this state i cannot get connection to my broadband router. i need to disable to link to the able to get to the web. i thank to you all and from what you have said i will go via the more succured password later.
i think i need to prove the wep which does not work so i donot understand the problem

don't understand..... if you still need help, start by posting your router model.
if wep isn't working, use wpa.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
