Plastering quote - Edinburgh

I was quoted £400 today for filling and skimming three walls and the area around the bay window in my living room. It's quite a large room (42 square meters of plastering), but I have already stripped the walls and will sand them before they start work.

It's a cash job, and the guys thought that it would take them most of a weekend to do.

I'm supplying the materials on top of this price (they estimated 100kg of multifinish??).

I have no idea if this is a good deal or not - would appreciate any guidance.

We had our whole stairs walls and ceilings done for £150 excellent job and he supplied the materials.

I think thats quite steep, get another couple of quotes before accepting that one.

I also think that is quite steep, I got 3 rooms in my flat plastered for £380 last year, all large rooms, took a weekend and they supplied the plaster.

Yeah that is a bit heavy.

I agree with nelly, 3 walls even with bonding, 1 day, £250.
As for the other 2 posts, well they must of been desperate for the work, thats all i can say.

And nelly how early you posting lol, late night was it lol
